International Mammalian Genome Society

MAMMALIAN GENOME

CALL FOR PAPERS

Mammalian Genome announces a forthcoming special issue devoted to quantitative trait locus (QTL) research.

A major focus of the issue will encompass the identification of eQTLs contributing to heritable variation in gene expression levels in view of their potential to help elucidate the genes and transcriptional networks relating to complex phenotypes.

This special issue will include commentary and review articles in addition to original research contributions in this area.

Mammalian Genome invites submissions of original research contributions for this issue by November 30th, 2005.

All submitted manuscripts are processed through the online center, Manuscript Central (http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/mg)

Please visit this site to upload your manuscript, indicating that your submission should be considered for this issue.

For enquiries and detailed instructions for authors, please contact Louise Tinsley (Managing Editor) l.tinsley@har.mrc.ac.uk

AIMS AND SCOPE OF MAMMALIAN GENOME

Mammalian Genome is devoted to studies of mammalian genomics, serving as a vehicle for the dissemination of work in the emerging field of functional genomics. The journal focuses on the experimental, theoretical and technical aspects of genomics and genetics in mouse, human and other mammalian species, particularly those aspects bearing on studies of gene function and the relationship between genes and phenotypes.

Special emphasis is placed on: gene structure and expression studies where these bear on our knowledge of gene function; mutagenesis, the characterization of new mutations and the identification of animal models of human genetic disorders; genetic, physical, and comparative mapping, particularly for the study of gene function; genetic analysis of complex traits; informatics as related to genome analysis and functional genomics; and novel technical approaches.
